I hereby pledge not to plagiarize another persons work. It is a crime and disrespectful to the original author. It is important to be respectful towards other peoples writing. Plagiarizing not only hurts the author, it also hurts me. It is a crime and when I steal someone's work I am only limiting myself, my potential to grow as a writer, and my creativity. As a Clemson student, I am going to uphold the reputation of this grand establishment and only type what comes from myself. Like I said, I'm a Clemson student, plagiarizing a practice some jealous, low class USC student would partake in. I don't want to be like that.

This lipstick ad is directed towards young woman. It sends a message stating that if they wear the Crushed Rose lipstick men will be attracted to them. The ad exaggerates the affect the lipstick will have on men. The statement, "You smooth it on and love is just a kiss away" is telling young women that by wearing this lipstick attractive men will fall in love with them and want to kiss them. The ad clearly emphasizes the woman's lips by contrasting the bright lipstick against the models pale skin. Also, the flawless complexion of the model gives the impression that by wearing the product it will make a woman beautiful, when in reality this is not necessarily true. Through the author use of words the audience gets the message that this product is the cutting edge of fashion and today's must have item.

My Life As Is
Hi. Hey. How ya doin'?
My name is Lindsey Claire Hughes and I am currently a freshman here at this fabulous place referred to as Clemson University. I spend six nights of the week drunk and the other one sleeping off the hangover. I ride to class on horseback and eat my steak bloody and raw. I can't afford university housing so I sleep in a cardboard box under the library bridge. Sometimes you can see me feeding the goldfish in the Reflection Pond the crumbs from my stolen Subway sandwiches. I also failed all of my classes last semester.
Okay, okay. Not really.
My name is still Lindsey and I really am a student here.I am a prerehabilitation major, but I am in working to get into the health science major. In high school I ran track, cross country, and played a little bit of basketball. I loved it! I am now training to run a half marathon in the spring. I have a very smart and admirable twin sister who is studying at the College of Charleston. (No, we are not identical.) Although my main goal in life is to become a physical therapist, I want to spend sometime after college working as a personal trainer. I have a dog named max, I always keep my nails painted, I enjoy photography, and I absolutely love spending time with old people. I think hearing a persons life stories, no matter how insignificant they may seem, is the best way to get to know who a person really is. I am excited about being in this class and I will be making an "A."
And that, my friends, is the truth.
